The 2010-2011 PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) season begins on Saturday, October 2 at Faith United Protestant church.   Pads is in urgent need of additional shelter sites, volunteers to staff the shelters, and volunteer cook teams.  Four hours, once each month, is all it takes to help keep these shelters open.  Please consider helping PADS serve homeless persons in our area.  It could be the best four hours you spend each month.  During the month of September, we will organize for the 2010-2011 season by confirming volunteer and donor commitments, recruiting additional volunteers, and preparing the site.  On Sunday mornings, after morning services, a PADS volunteer will be available to answer questions or provide more information, or you may contact Elmer Washington.
