Come have a BLAST at Power Lab here at Faith Church!  There will be amazing Bible adventures, sizzling craft experiments, super snacks, cool music and hyperspeed games.  Grab your friends so everyone can plug into the power.  This Vacation Bible School is scheduled for July 28 through August 1 from 9 a.m. until noon.  The cost is $5 per person which covers the whole week.  Bring a friend, and receive a $2 discount.  Bring two friends and get a $4 discount...bring 3 or more friends and your week is free!  VBS is for children ages 3 years through 5th grade. 

Faith will be hosting the second Arts & Crafts event this coming fall.  The date is Sunday, October 26, to get people thinking about the holidays (both in terms of making items and in purchasing items).  Get out those craft supplies and start working now so that you will have plenty of time.  Please contact the office if you are interested in participating.  Remember:  these are to be handmade items, not purchased itmes, and priced by the crafters.

The United Protestant council invites all to attend Worship in the Park at Somonauk Park on Sunday, July 27 at 11:00 a.m.  A picnic potluck is being planned to be held after the service so that we may enjoy fellowship with the other United Protestant church members.  Please bring a dish to share along with your own place settings.  The Grace UP Church kitchen will be open for those dishes that might need refrigeration or heating.  Beverages will be provided.  Watch for more information and flyers in the July church bulletins.

Mark your calendars now for the return of the Barbary Coast Dixieland Band on September 12 at 7:30 p.m.  This year's program will be a new one focused on their Celebration CD.  They also have a new Gospel CD.  Watch for more details coming soon.  At this point the Barbary Coast Committee wishes to finance the Dixieland Band Copncert completely through corporate sponsors.  If your business or profession is in a position to make a donation, please call the church office--we will be glad to send you our ad specifications.  Of course, our goal is to make a complete profit from attendees.  It's a great night of entertainment to offer our community for only $12.
