Sunday School | Sr. High Fellowship | Jr. High Fellowship | Youth Choir

muralFaith Village:  Where the Bible comes Alive!, our Sunday School program for kindergarten through fifth grade, meets during the 10:15 worship service on Sunday mornings.  This curriculum teaches Bible stories using the various intelligences as the basis of learning.  Each week, the children may be learning a Bible story through storytelling/drama, art, computers, movies, or games.  We believe this approach will bring the Bible stories to life as they are experienced through these different methods.  This is a rotation model where they attend a different station each week.  Children learn through computer games and activities in "Cyber Cove; they listen to stories and act them out in "MasterPeace Theater"; they reinforce what they have learned through games in "Activity Alley"; they watch a movie in "Holywood Cinema"; and they express their creativity in "Thou Art".

Our Pre-School Sunday School (ages 2-4) incorporates play time as well as mini Bible stories and crafts.  The teachers are dedicated to our church children, and they have a strong faith to share with their class.

Our Jr. and Sr. High Fellowship programs are open to any youth who may wish to attend (you do not need to be a member of our church.)  Our purpose is to invite youth to grow spiritually through things such as community service projects, team building activities, and mission opportunities.  We also incorporate just plain fun!

Senior High Fellowship is for youth in grades 9-12.  These youth help collect and deliver food within the community during our Thanksgiving Food Drive.  Sr. High cooks for Shrove Tuesday Dinner, and they host numerous fund raisers throughout the year to help plan for their annual Work Tour Mission Trip each summer.  This past year, 8 youth went to Harlan County Kentucky for a week and had the experience doing things like repairing a roof, putting siding on a building, and painting.  We believe Sr. High Fellowship helps youth build confidence in themselves, teaches the reliance on others as they work as a team, and gives the youth a safe place to ask questions and discuss their journey as Christians in today's society. Junior High Fellowship meets on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 4:00 p.m. and includes children in grades 6-8.  Our program year begins the Sunday following Labor Day and usually ends in late May.  Junior High meets twice a month on Sunday afternoons for an hour.  Our traditional events are: helping collect food for our community food drive; helping to serve dinner for our annual Shrove Tuesday pancake dinner; and a yearly weekend retreat at the end of the year.  The youth help plan other activities throughout the program year.  We feel that Junior High Fellowship gives the youth a safe place to learn more about their role as Christians within their community and beyond. Youth Choir rehearsal is every Sunday from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m.  First grade through twelfth grade students are welcome.  (top)
